Law at The Open University

Studying law is stimulating in its own right, but it’s also a smart career move. With The Open University you can study for a law qualification to whatever level you need – for your business, your career, starting training as a solicitor or barrister or just for personal interest.

Our law degree LLB (Hons) is the UK’s most popular undergraduate taught law degree. It has been developed in association with the College of Law and, if completed within the strict time limits, is recognised as a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) by the Law Society of England and Wales and the Bar Standards Board. This is the first of three stages for entering the legal profession in England and Wales as either a solicitor or a barrister.

The OU's Centre for Law's LLB is accredited by The Law Society due to the high quality of our programmes and teaching.
